“Global release” not so global after all

When Microsoft unveiled the Xbox 360 they took it in their stride to provide the world with the Xbox 360 on the same day. A feet that hasn’t been done before.

Soon afterwards, Microsoft delayed the release to Australasia (Australia and New Zealand) to the 2nd of March - about three months after the launch of the console in America.

However, Microsoft have once again delayed the launch of the Xbox 360 console to the 23rd of March. They cite that they need to give priority to places that already have the consoles available.

No surprises really. Game consoles never met demand the moment they were released in a single territory. Sure it was ambitious to do such a thing but not even Microsoft could pull that stunt off.

However, this won’t hurt the fans that much. It’s a couple of extra weeks to wait.

The Xbox 360 Roadtrip is still going ahead. This time, all the places would be before the release date - all but Hamilton of course.
