Recently I have been busy playing a trial account of City of Heroes. It is good fun, and an MMO worth buying. I think I might. I am on the European server Union, @Slashing Man if you want to get in touch. I’m looking over at Amazon.com to buy City of Heroes/Villians at $50 New Zealand, and it’ll be on the American servers. I have a week left to go on my account.

While playing CoH after work, the hot days get to the computer and it starts to get a bit hot under the covers. It starts beeping, slowly at first. Only to end up just plain screeching at me, at which point I give up. This even happens on my screen savers too. It was getting to be a problem. So I went into town yesterday after getting paid and bought a fancy new one.

It gave me a fright at first though. It came with a 350W power supply, and I thought that’d be fine. Turns out I was wrong (or the PSU just sucked). I plugged it, and I was having a bevvy of problems. The main one was the wireless wasn’t starting for some reason. So I uninstalled it, and then, bam! Well, there was no bang, just the system having a little fit. Freaked out a little, I switched it off, and turned it back on… it’s having it’s fit again. Hmm, this isn’t turning out so well. I ripped out all but the essential hardware, and it still was having it’s little fit. Pretty freaked out by this whole experience (scared all my hardware was now fried and gone to hardware heaven), I put back in the old PSU, and everything worked fine. Phew!

Duncan had a Christmas party on Friday and surprised us all with gifts. He got me this fiber-optic Christmas tree which I was going on about the week before to him. It is the only Christmassy thing I have in my possession (apart from the 14 MP3’s of Christmas cheer). It was apparently the last one in Hamilton. Thanks Dunc!

I am still to enroll in Uni for next year. That is my plan for today, however I still haven’t a clue what to do. I just need one more 3rd year paper to do, preferably in A semester. Suggestions? (Paul?)
