I had an opportunity to use the new keyboard last week, and I didn't like it. Aesthetically, the keyboard is pleasing - but there were two things I immediately thought: (1) the alphanumeric keys were too small (my biggest problem with the old Apple keyboard) and (2) there was very little give on each key. Given the keyboards I regularly use have much more give, the latter caused me problems since I felt like I was bashing the keys - I was using more force than I needed. Your pain causes me some worry - you should never feel pain from such short use of a peripheral - unless you have a problem already?
