Four years

I’ve been a bit slack of late. While my Twitter feed has been going, I haven’t had the urge to write anything on my blog.

I even missed April 21, the day when I started writing in it. I’ve been blogging for pretty much six years now, but I’ve had issues in the past with lost hosts, backups etc. So this is my longest lasting blog. And hopefully, it’ll last even longer.

Have you used any of the big free blogging hosts like Blogger? or LiveJournal? When you write such a large blog you do commit a lot of trust in those services, in particular if there is no backup facility available.

Congrats man, 4 years really is commitment!

One little recommendation; perhaps it would be a good idea to get rid of the “franklin gothic medium” font from #content .text, as those of us who have this font find your site really really hard to read. I’m literally blind-typing right now.

Something new is in the works anyway. Just really slowly. I’ll have a look at #content .text, there should be a multitude of fonts defined. Must look.

@Hayden, yup, I started out with those, but didn’t like the constraints. I eventually wanted to delve into the code and see what I could destroy :D

Hey Daniel, quick question, what do you use to integrate your twitter feed, is it a pre-made Twitter plugin or did you write something yourself?

Alternatively, I could notice that you have the Twitter Tools sidebar widget, so I could assume you use Twitter Tools for the feed too. :-/

The plug in is called Twitter Tools. I modified it slightly so then I can only put specific tweets in the blog.
